Geschmacksfragen: Johnossi

Diesmal haben wir den schwedischen Indie-Rockern Johnossi unsere Geschmacksfragen gestellt. Vorstellen müssen wir die Band hoffentlich niemand mehr. Ihr großer Hit, „Man Must Dance“ ist immer noch fester Bestandteil meiner Playlist beim auflegen. Dieses Jahr, am 27. September erschien ihr, mittlerweile bereits achtes, Album „Forevers“ Auf Tour kommen die beiden im Januar auch nach Deutschland. Die genauen Termine schreib ich euch unten mit dazu. Your current favourite Song?

I’ve been so completely buried in my own melodies with the making of the new Johnossi record that there hasn’t really been room for much new outside music lately. My ears are bleeding as it is already. So I have to choose a song of our own. ”Devotion” of our new record ”Forevers” is a song I’ve been returning to. It’s probably my favorite of our new record. Why? Because it’s big and bold , yet interesting and somewhat fragile. It’s a fucking banger.

Oh wait, I heard a great song the other day. A Brittish band called Bad Nerves, the have a song called ”antidote”, really fun and energetic modern punk, I highly recommend.

Your current favourite record?

I pretty much only listen to Tool and Watain these days. So I will say the latest Watain record, ”the agony and exstacy of Watain” It is a black metal masterpiece. Watain continue to carry the black flame year after year. And they do it with such dedication and artistry that its truly mindblowing and highly admirable.

Your favourite place?

My countryplace out in the woods an hour north of Stockholm. I haven’t had the time lately to be there as much as I want and that sucks. There I pick mushrooms in the forest, ride motocross on the trails, watch the clouds pass in the sky, drinka lot of wine, cook a lot of food, and watch a lot of films. Make fires, sleep a lot. I do everything a lot there and I love it.

Your favourite drink?

Dry crisp, cold white wine.
Why, because it goes with pretty much any food and its the best option to beer. Apart from that I think coca cola is the best.

Your favourite food?

A perfect burger is hard to beat
80% chuck, 20% shortrib, that’s the best mix.
Double slices of cheese, silver onion, ketchup, mayo, salty pickles.
I will never become a veggie, I love food way to mch

What you’d like to read about yourself but hasn’t been written about you yet?

That I’m a billionare, it would be a nice surprise to find that out, if it was true that is.
