Geschmacksfragen: Curly Strings

Your current favourite Song?

Eeva: Alison Krauss & Union Station – New Favourite. Absolutely beautiful! Great voice, great melody, lyrics, arrangement, the sound of the acoustic instruments. It is a perfect song! The whole album (New Favourite) is my favourite at the moment.

Your current favourite record?

Taavet: Nickel Creek Live From the Fox Theatre. Because I’m learning what they are doing. And they sound very nice live. I like to deep focus on small parts that make such great music!

Your favourite place?

Villu: On stage with Curly Strings. Especially when there has been a break of a few weeks and we get together again. Then the first chords together are like magic.
Peeter: At my countryhouse, behind the sauna on a swing. There’s a nice view and a strong feeling of home. At spring there is super loud and beautiful because of all the birds singing.

Your favourite drink?

Peeter: Coffee. Black. I love the taste. And the kick. And tasting different beans.
Villu: Water. Champagne in the morning. Gets the day going in the right direction. Or totally wrong.
Taavet: Water. After the gig: Hefeweizen. You can’t really get drought weizen in Estonia. So I am really looking forward to the tour in Germany.
Eeva: Värska. It is a classic salty mineral water from the south of Estonia.

Your favourite food?

Taavet: Classic Estonian dish, that my grandmother used to make is fried meatballs (that we call kotletid) with boiled potatoes, tomato and cucumber salad with sour cream.
Eeva: Smoke-sauna ham with black rye bread and onion. Sooo tasty. It has been my favourite since I was a child and the taste still brings me back memories from those times.

What you’d like to read about yourself but hasn’t been written about you yet?

Eeva: That our first German-language song Rache actually sounds pretty good.

Thank you for the Answers!
