Geschmacksfragen: Uzi Freyja

Frankreich hat mit der queeren Kamerunerin Uzi Freyja eine neue Rap-Sensation. 2023 hat sie den Prix Chorus des Hauts-de-Seine 2023 gewonnen und seitdem die Bühnen in ganz Frankreich und Europa in Brand gesetzt. Im Januar letzten Jahres ist ihr Debüt-Album „Bhelize Don’t Cry“ erschienen. Auch dieses Jahr kann man sie mehrfach live erleben. Unter anderem beim Open Ohr Festival im Mai vom 22. bis 25. Mai. Your current favourite Song?

I am a huuuuuge fan of Imagine dragon like I want to see them one day live !!! Like wwwwwwaaaaaaaat !!! And their song Natural !!!! Every time I listen to it feel invincible, power et just to be me and yelled it at the world ( yes I am a bit dramatic ahahaha )

Your current favourite record?

Oulalaaaaa that’s a tough question guuuysss !!! Oulalaaaa but Etta James At last !!! This record always confirms me make feel better its like a big hug for my soul, energy !! And her voice my dear Lord !! Its rough and soft and I enjoy every second of it

Your favourite place?

My house with my cats hahahaha !!! Every time I came back home I just happy to see them ( of course yelling at me for food ) but its make me feel safe and that’s my peace place

Your favourite drink?

Oulalaaaaaaa hummmmmmm it’s depend of occasion !!! But a good pinacolada babyyy you got me there !! Coconut I love you !!! But a margarita…. gives me the vibes of a rich woman in a robe dancing to Etta James or Tina Turner… do you see the vibes !?!?! Or tequila shot for a lit partyyyyyy let’s go ahahahahha ( and water to save from hangover )

Your favourite food?

Everything from my country!!! Ndole, Gombo ? Peanut sauce with rice !!??!?! I fight for that mama chickennnnn ( for me chicken is a vegetable cause when you are sick they gave you chicken soup, you want to loose weight chicken, gain weight chicken … so it’s walking vegetable)

What you’d like to read about yourself but hasn’t been written about you yet?

That I am shy strong independent Bitch ahahahaha, and but more seriously that I never gave up !!! Even during rough and tough time !!!
