Geschmacksfragen: Maiorano

Your current favourite Song?
One of my favourites is definitely „Aua Atu Ra“ by Marlon Williams. He sings it in Mäori, and since my wife is also Mãori, it feels very special in our home. When we play it, there’s always lots of dancing and singing, and it makes me dream of beautiful, sunny, faraway places.
Your current favourite record?
Natalie Bergman „My Home Is Not in This World.“ Recently, I did a DJ set with Alessio (our drummer )and he played a track by her that immediately caught my attention. Since then, I’ve been listening to this album a lot. It’s everything | love: soul, folk, country, rock and roll, and she has such a beautiful, velvety voice. Every song hits me.
Your favourite place?
One of my favourite places in the world has always been the centre of Rome at night. Just walking around and taking it all in is enough for me. Especially when the weather is good, the combination of the smell of the city, the sounds, and the air is pure magic.
Your favourite drink?
Definitely a Negroni! It’s punchy, smooth, and full of character. It’s a city drink!
Your favourite food?
These days, my favourite food is Pad Thai from a small Thai place in Neukölin. I go there when I’m really hungry, it’s fresh, satisfying, and a great break from Italian food.
What you’d like to read about yourself but hasn’t been written about you yet?
I started playing in hardcore punk bands when I was 14 and did countless squat shows around Italy. Back then, I never would have imagined I’d end up making the kind of music I’m doing now.
