Geschmacksfragen: Charlotte OC

Your current favourite Song?

Adrianne Lenker – No Machine
When moving out of my family home and moving into the new one with my mum…their music has soundtracked it all. I think this one in particular makes me want to cry for about 6 hours. I just think about us all as a family packing up and saying goodbye to place we had memories with my dad. Yeah I love Adrianne Lenker a lot.

Your current favourite record?

Sam Fender- People Watching.
I’ve rinsed it to death. Every track is effortlessly brilliant and his lyrics are something else. TV Dinner and Crumbling Empire especially.

Your favourite place?

I always used to say Berlin and I still love it, but it I recently went to Amsterdam and I had the rare moment when a city just grabs you and you fall in love. I think it’s the most romantic city and the people are very sound.

Your favourite drink?

Probably a negroni or red wine. And obviously a well-made brew (not milky).

Your favourite food?

Rare beef pho. When I lived in London, I literally had no money. I would wait until 6pm until this Vietnamese restaurant in Angel called Nem Nem would open and inhale their 9 quid rare beef pho. I think it will forever be one of my favourite dishes of all time and helped me when times were tough. However my mum’s African food is genuinely something I think about every day. It’s lick-your-plate clean level of good.

What you’d like to read about yourself but hasn’t been written about you yet?

“Charlotte OC – biggest resurrection since Jesus “
