Geschmacksfragen: Jack Dean

Der Songwriter, Sänger und Produzent Jack Dean stammt aus der englischen Provinz und hat sich, wie so viele, durch Cover-Videos einen Namen gemacht und über 30 Millionen Aufrufe auf seine Reels und TikTok gesammelt. Während Corona hat er die Zeit genutzt, um eigene Songs zu schreiben und produzieren. 2022 hat Produzent Jamie Scott (unter anderem von One Direction, Justin Bieber, Rag N Bone Man und vielen mehr) Kontakt zu ihm aufgenommen und mit ihm seine Debüt-EP aufgenommen. Jetzt gibts wieder Neue Musik des guten und wir wollen ihn euch ein bisschen besser vorstellen.

Your current favourite Song?

Take My Breath (Away) – The Weeknd. There’s something so fun about the groove of this song and with summer on the way, it’s the perfect driving soundtrack.

Your current favourite record?

Sabrina Carpenter – Short n’ Sweet. This record is just a masterclass in great pop music and I have it on repeat.

Your favourite place?

I was recently lucky enough to visit Berlin on a writing trip and it’s such a cool city. It was around Christmas time so I made sure to visit some of the markets and explored a bit of the city and it was really magical. Great food, great people.

Your favourite drink?

Hot Chocolate. I don’t drink coffee so Hot Chocolate is my go-to hot drink. I could drink it any time of day, any weather. I just love it. I even have one anytime I’m vocaling a track. It’s my happy place.

Your favourite food?

There’s a small shop in Soho called Maoz and they make the best chicken pitta with halloumi, aubergine, cauliflower and hummus. It’s incredible and for anyone visiting london, this is a must-try spot.

What you’d like to read about yourself but hasn’t been written about you yet?

I mean in an ideal world I’d love a headline to read “Jack Dean has just secured his first number 1 record in Germany” but we’ll take it one step at a time.
