Geschmacksfragen: Tina Dico

Unsere Geschmacksfragen kommen diese Woche von der dänischen Sängerin und Songwriterin Tina Dico, die nicht nur in ihrem Land schon lange ein Superstar ist, mit mehreren Nummer 1 Alben. Nach ihrem 25-jährigen Jubiläum als Songwriterin wird diesen Oktober ihr Neues Album „Balancing Small Things On Sharp Edges“ erscheinen. Mit dem ist sie dann natürlich auch auf Tour und kommt im November auch für einige Termine nach Deutschland. Unter anderem könnt ihr sie am 28. November im Münchner Prinzregententheater sehen. Kürzlich erschien die erste Single „Surfing“ aus ihrem Neuen Album und wir durften ihr unsere Geschmacksfragen stellen.

Your current favourite Song?

October Sky‘ by Yebba.
Just love it. And her! And I sit down at the piano and play it myself every day at the moment.

Your current favourite record?

I’ve been back to listening to ‚The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill‘ recently and I can’t get over how good that record is. And what an incredible singer and rapper she is. So much attitude, so much groove and hookiness. And depth. Of recent stuff, I’ve listened to Steve Lacy, which I enjoy in all of its adventurousness!

Your favourite place?

My home on the outskirts of Reykjavik. I wish I could be here much more. We travel for work and then we go on holidays when there’s time off. But really, I just wanna have more time to chill at our house. We have a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean. We have the most wonderful outdoor pool nearby. And I look forward to Autumn, Winter and snow now. I love those times.

Your favourite drink?

Gin/tonic for sure. And I happily experiment with all new flavours of gin. Like, rhubarb and all the Summer-vibe versions. Fresh and light.

Your favourite food?

With food, I’m all about simplicity. And food you can eat with a clean conscience. I’m not vegetarian, but I happen to have a strange love for everything with beans! Butter beans, black beans, kidney beans. Like, a good mexican bean soup. It doesn’t sound exciting but it makes me happy, haha.

What you’d like to read about yourself but hasn’t been written about you yet?

I’d love to read that I’m hilarious. And super badass. But I don’t know if anyone is ever gonna write that, haha.
