Geschmacksfragen: Honne
Das englische Producer- und Songwriter Duo Honne wird am 22. Oktober sein neues Album „Let’s Just Say The World Ended A Week From Now, What Would You Do?“ Veröffentlichen. Wir hatten mit den beiden schon das ein oder andere Interview in den letzten Jahren auf unserem Blog. Jetzt haben sie uns auch noch die Geschmacksfragen beantwortet.
Your current favourite song (and why)?
I really love ‘Caroline’ by Arlo Parks. I love how the lyrics paint such a vivid image of this scene that Arlo is witnessing unravel whilst waiting for a bus. She has such a unique way of writing. And the production is super cool too.
Your current favourite record (and why)?
Well, I’ve recently started buying vinyl again after a long while without a record player. So I’ve been getting my hands on some of the older classics that have a special place in my heart. One of those records is ‘For Emma, Forever Ago’ by Bon Iver. It’s definitely one of my favourite albums of all time and I think a big reason for this is how it has accompanied me on so many journeys and adventures. It’s the album I put on on a long flight on tour, or first thing in the morning after a late night on holiday in Berlin or Stockholm, or wherever we might have been. And consequently the music just floods me with happy memories.
Your favourite place?
One of my favourite places in the world is Seoul in South Korea. We’ve played there quite a few times now and I’ve also been on holiday there too. There’s an area, called Hongdae, which is particularly cool to just wander around, find great coffee and food, go to arcades and do a bit of late night karaoke. It’s a lot of fun. But a massive part of it is the food. Korean food is some of my favourite. Kimchi is free in every restaurant, so I eat my body weight in kimchi every time we visit.?
Your favourite drink?
This will be the first and only time that anyone ever says this answer…but I actually LOVE water. Anyone who knows me can confirm this. I drink a shed load of the stuff. I drink half a litre before I even get out of bed every morning. Call me weird, call me strange. But I love my water.
But if I had to go for the TASTIEST…it’d have to be something like a Pisco Sour. Damn that is one tasty drink. But drink half a litre of that in the morning and the day is going to look quite different!
Your favourite food?
Ok well this is an incredibly difficult one. But if I had to pick one meal to eat on my last day on earth, I’d have to pick a good old traditional roast dinner. Chicken or Beef. Loads of gravy. Cooked by my girlfriend. She makes one rich, delicious, juicy roast. You should come round and try it one day. My mouth is watering now :-/
What you’d like to read about yourself but hasn’t been written about you yet?
I was listening to a podcast about self-awareness the other day, which was pretty interesting. So maybe I’d like to read something written about me, my personality and my life, but from the perspective of the people who surround me. I’m not sure I’d enjoy reading that…but maybe it’d be useful? Haha. Might be quite an awakening!
Thank you for the Answers!
