Geschmacksfragen: Christian Cohle

Your current favourite song?

United In Grief – Kendrick Lamar.

I’m not sure why, it just hits me emotionally. The narrative and production build up so perfectly to that focal point moment in the song he says “I grieve different”. It’s as if the tone and production of the song all work together to prepare you for that moment. I love it.

Your current favourite record?

Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers – Kendrick Lamar.

It’s just a beautiful record. I love Kendrick Lamar. He’s such a fascinating artist, and so iconic. It’s raw and artistically honest, while also being such an exciting modern record to listen to in terms of the production, and the performed music.

The album, to me, at times has some little flavours of his early album Good Kid M.A.A.d City – but in a more modern way I guess, which instantly drew me closer in, cause that’s one of my all time favourite records.

Your favourite place?

Shinjuku, Tokyo.
I feel like I’m in Blade Runner when I’m there!

Your favourite drink?

Black Coffee
I love the morning coffee ritual, or the social aspect of sharing a coffee with somebody in a cafe etc.

Your favourite food?

Right now, I’m obsessed with instant SAMYANG spicy noodles with some cooked chicken, green onion and some fresh kimchi. Can prepare it in like 5+ minutes, and it tastes amazing.

What you’d like to read about yourself but hasn’t been written about you yet?

I’d like to read a review of one of my live shows sometime.

Thank you for the Answers!
